MY PRACTICE

I currently offer Biodynamic Bodywork and Somatic Healing Sessions on San Juan Island, Washington and Online through Zoom. On a quarterly basis, I travel to Portland, Oregon to offer Pop-up sessions. Each session is an opportunity for my client and me to listen deeply to and respond to what is wanting to be seen, felt, and healed. Thus, each session is a collaboration of awareness.

All of the modalities and methods I’ve studied find their way into the bodywork I offer, but they arise organically, as movements my system uses to meet the client’s system’s needs. Each treatment is unique. Any formulas of movement are dropped. Biodynamic work recognizes each body’s inherent intelligence as its greatest resource, and orients to each client in a way that supports their inherent self-healing mechanisms to direct the session.

A session with me includes Biodynamic Massage, Cranial Therapy, Somatic Inquiry and Trauma Healing. We begin each session with a check-in about what the client notices about their mental, emotional, spiritual and physical body. Through talk and therapeutic touch, I offer attuned presence as a container inviting the conversation between a client and their inner healer to ignite and evolve. I show up to a session to meet each client- their body and their multidimensional Self where they are at. Relating in this way allows the client's system to feel securely met, and potentiates the “letting go” of patterns of tension and defense mechanisms that are no longer needed, and explore their inner resources. When we are relationally held in neutral loving presence, our system’s are able to relax, open, and re-pattern— new ways of being are birthed and integrated from our most primal and true nature. Folks seeking relational resonance and bodywork that can hold space for the unwinding and expression of developmental and attachment trauma, radical self-love and empowerment have found the specific energetics of my approach to Biodynamic Bodywork and Somatic Healing to be especially beneficial.

It can be helpful to receive this work with some level of regularity and consistency to invite the opportunity for rapport and trust to be established between our systems, and so that your body knows it can come to know our time together as a restorative resource. Depending on your lifestyle and what is going on with you, that regularity can be weekly, biweekly, monthly, or seasonally.

The integration and wholeness restored and felt in one's body after receiving this work is lasting and ripples out into all facets of one's quality of life.
